Budist 2025 California Harvest Report, highlighting the 2025 harvest season across 7 counties, including Sonoma
The 2025 California Harvest Report is Budist’s second annual statewide harvest report, documenting the growing season through the lens of California’s sungrown farms and regions. Building on the structure established in 2024, the current edition expands coverage to seven counties—Humboldt, Mendocino, Trinity, Lake, Nevada, Sonoma, and Santa Cruz—and deepens its archival value through insightful reviews of the signature cultivars from participating farms. The 2025 Harvest Report revealed: “The DCC reports that in 2025, 8 licensed outdoor cultivators in Sonoma County harvested 489,460 wet pounds across 130,550 plants [1]. In 2025, Sonoma County grew ~7.8% less weight than the previous year, accounting for ~2.7% of the state’s total 2025 outdoor harvest compared to ~4.4% in 2024.”
